The Opportunity
We are seeking an autonomous, highly organised Bookkeeper / Finance Lead to own our day-to-day internal accounting and finance functions.

Reporting directly to the Office Manager and working closely with the General Manager and our external accountant, you will keep our financial machinery running perfectly. You will be responsible for the accuracy of our records across multiple entities, supported directly by an Accounts Assistant who handles routine receivables.

Key Responsibilities

- Full-Function Bookkeeping: Manage the general ledger, complete month-end close procedures, and process routine journal adjustments in MYOB.

- AP & AR: Process supplier invoices, coordinate regular payment runs against cash flow, and manage escalated customer debtor accounts alongside your support team member.

- Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS statements, compile weekly cash requirement forecasts, and deliver monthly management finance packs (P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, Variance Analysis).

- Process Improvement: Maintain tight internal controls, minimise manual work, and streamline existing operational accounts processes.

What We’re Looking For

- Proven Experience: A solid background as a Full-Function Bookkeeper, Finance Officer, or Small Business Accountant.

- Tech-Savvy Operator: Strong proficiency with MYOB / XERO or modern cloud accounting software ecosystems and the ability to learn new,



industry specific programs quickly.

- Statutory Knowledge: A sound understanding of Australian payroll laws, STP2, BAS/IAS processing, and GST compliance rules.

- Organised Leader: Excellent time management skills with the capability to oversee and support an assistant and collaborate effectively with an external tax agent.

- Qualifications: A Certificate IV / Diploma in Accounting/Bookkeeping, or a relevant business/finance qualification is highly regarded but practical experience is key.
