Are you an experienced procurement professional ready to make an impact in the federal government? Complete Staff Solutions are seeking a proactive Procurement Officer to independently drive end-to-end procurement and contract administration. Operating with high initiative and minimal direction, you will manage AusTender documentation, administer SAP purchase orders, and ensure strict compliance with Commonwealth financial policy.
Period of Engagement: 12-month initial engagement with an option to extend for a further 12 months
Location: Barton, ACT
Working Arrangements: Flexible working arrangements can be negotiated
Hours: 37.5hrs per week
APS Level / Equivalent: APS5/6 - $65-$73 per hour inclusive of casual loading
Security Clearance: Negative Vetting 1
Key responsibilities
- Monitoring and managing procurement activities including providing advice and support for labour hire procurement.
- Assist in the preparation of procurement approval documentation including Approvals to Approach the Market, Evaluation Outcomes, Approvals to commit funds and enter into Arrangements.
- Robust knowledge in administering tender documentation through Aus Tender.
- Corporate document management and filing.
- Mailbox management.
- Responsible for managing a range of contracts, maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Monitoring contracts and managing extension or renewal of contracts and contract close-out.
- Creating and managing supplier contracts and purchase orders within SAP ensuring compliance with finance policy.
- Maintaining contractor access to time sheeting portal and end of month processing.
- Manage work in Our Security and ensure timely and accurate records are held in Our Security database.
About you
- Four years' experience working within Government Procurement.
- Thorough understanding of the PGPA Act for complex procurements.
- Contract management experience, with knowledge of CCS.
- Experience providing oversight of public sector procurement activities.
- Ability to undertake analysis of suppliers, markets, products and service categories to inform procurement planning.
- Assist in the administration of tender evaluation reports for consideration and approval.
- Ability to assist in the oversight of contracts administration activities and monitoring of contract management plans.
- Experience using SAP or similar related financial systems.
- Applicants must hold Negative Vetting 1 security clearance, and Australian Citizenship
