About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join the City of Sydney's Legal Services team.

Working alongside experienced lawyers and legal support professionals, you'll provide legal and matter management support across a diverse range of property, commercial, litigation and local government matters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their legal career while gaining exposure to meaningful work that supports one of Australia's leading local government organisations.

In this role you will:

- assist with the preparation of legal documentation, contracts, property transactions and litigation matters
- prepare and manage property dealings and registrations through PEXA
- support court filings and land title registration processes
- undertake legal research and matter management under legal supervision
- maintain legal precedents, templates and knowledge resources
- liaise with internal stakeholders, external law firms, developers and government agencies
- contribute to process improvements and the use of emerging technologies within Legal Services.

What you'll bring:

- qualifications in law, legal studies, conveyancing, legal administration or a related discipline




- demonstrated experience providing paralegal services
- experience with property transactions and PEXA processes
- strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- proficiency in Microsoft 365 and familiarity with systems such as TRIM
- the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- a proactive approach and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

This role will allow you to build your legal career by gaining hands-on experience across a diverse range of legal matters while working with experienced professionals in a supportive team environment.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
