About the role
The Event Producer – Live Music position is responsible for the leading the programming and delivery of entertainment and public event experiences for the City of Parramatta’s Events & Festivals team.
This role will balance out-of-hours work requirements and daily work priorities within Council’s flexible workplace policies.
In this role you will:
- Lead the planning, programming and delivery of live music within major public events and festivals that create memorable community experiences.
- Lead the planning, programming and delivery of City of Parramatta’s Live Music program.
- Manage event projects from concept to completion, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within budget and in line with Council objectives.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, contractors, artists, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver successful events.
- Develop innovative event concepts, programming and sponsorship opportunities that enhance Council's Events and Festivals program.
- Build strong relationships across Council and the community to support strategic, sustainable and high-quality event delivery.

About you
The successful candidate is someone who has:
- Significant amount of relevant live music programming and major events experience (typically 5 years) in a project is required.
- Proven experience delivering successful large public or private events, or similar activities or projects in the music, arts, cultural or related fields, demonstrating skills in complex project management and project leadership.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the entertainment and events industry, artists, performers, booking agencies etc.
- Understanding of the production aspects of large-scale public events including the provision of sound and lighting, staging, site management, risk management and risk mitigation, public safety, traffic, security and crowd management, and waste management.

Qualifications/Licences:
- Tertiary qualifications, such as Marketing,
Event Management, Communications, Hospitality (or related discipline) or another relevant qualification.
