Clinical Midwife | Logan Hospital, Meadowbrook | Permanent full-time or part-time | Lead exceptional woman-centred maternity care while growing your clinical leadership, education and research skills.

Your new role:

As a Clinical Midwife in the Maternity Inpatient Unit, you'll provide advanced midwifery care while playing a key role in clinical leadership, care coordination and the development of contemporary practice, including:

- Providing safe, compassionate and individualised care to women and their families across the antenatal and postnatal journey.
- Using advanced clinical assessment, critical thinking, problem-solving and care planning skills.
- Providing clinical leadership and expert support to midwives and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Supporting evidence-based practice, quality improvement and clinical governance.
- Contributing to education, mentoring, research and professional development within the service.
- Promoting culturally secure, inclusive and woman-centred care that supports informed choice and autonomy.

About you:

You're an experienced midwife who is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based care and supporting others to achieve their best, with:

- Current registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- A tertiary qualification such as a Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent.
- Advanced clinical knowledge, assessment, care planning and problem-solving skills.




- Experience managing complex midwifery care and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication, leadership, mentoring and delegation skills.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement, education and lifelong learning.
- A strong focus on culturally safe, respectful and woman-centred care.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
