Signage Production Manager / Estimator

Full Time | Capalaba, Brisbane | $95,000–$115,000 + Super | Company Car with Private Use

Bseen Promotions are looking for an experienced Signage Production Manager / Estimator to join our team and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our signage production and installation workflow.

This is a hands-on management role and you will be the senior person responsible for our day-to-day signage production. Working alongside one other production team member, you'll take ownership of the production workflow while also being actively involved in producing the work yourself.

You'll be involved from the initial quote right through to production and installation, working closely with our designers, production team and installers to make sure jobs are completed correctly, efficiently and on time.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of signage production

- Preparing quotes and estimates for a wide range of signage projects

- Reviewing jobs and determining the best and most efficient production method

- Calculating materials, production time, labour and installation requirements

- Planning and managing the daily production workflow

- Working alongside and overseeing our other production team member to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard

- Scheduling and coordinating our signage installers

- Allocating jobs to installers and ensuring they have the information and materials required

- Coordinating installation dates and job priorities

- Working with the design team to ensure artwork and production files are correct

- Operating wide-format roll-to-roll printers

- Operating UV flatbed printers

- Operating Multicam/AXYZ CNC routing equipment

- Preparing and setting up files for printing, cutting and CNC routing

- Laminating, cutting and general signage production

- Selecting appropriate signage materials and manufacturing methods

- Planning material usage and minimising waste

- Ordering materials and liaising with suppliers when required

- Monitoring jobs through production and identifying potential delays or issues

- Quality checking work before it leaves the factory





- Troubleshooting production and equipment issues

- Carrying out or coordinating routine equipment maintenance

- Ensuring jobs are produced in accordance with the quote and specifications

- Reviewing job costs and helping maintain accurate and competitive pricing

- Continually looking for ways to improve production efficiency, workflow and processes

- Maintain adequate stock levels across all production materials

About You

We're looking for someone with solid signage industry experience who is comfortable taking ownership of production, making decisions and getting involved in the work.

Strong experience in the signage industry is essential.

Ideally, you'll have:

- A strong understanding of signage manufacturing and installation

- Experience operating wide-format printers and CNC routers

- Experience quoting or estimating signage projects

- Good knowledge of signage materials including vinyl, ACM, acrylic, PVC, aluminium and associated products

- The ability to read and understand artwork, drawings and production specifications

- Strong organisational and time-management skills

- The ability to coordinate multiple jobs and installation deadlines

- Good communication skills

- Strong attention to detail

- Practical problem-solving ability

- The confidence to make decisions and keep jobs moving

- The ability to work independently and take ownership of production

- Must work well under pressure

Experience with Mimaki, Roland and Multicam/AXYZ CNC equipment would be highly regarded, although experience with similar equipment is perfectly suitable.

Experience with UV printing, fibre laser, channel letters and other signage manufacturing equipment would also be an advantage.

You don't necessarily need to tick every box. If you have strong signage production experience, the right attitude and the ability to take ownership of the role,



we'd still like to hear from you. There is scope to develop further in areas such as estimating, scheduling or specific equipment.

The Person We're Looking For

This is very much a hands-on role.

You will be our senior production person, not simply managing production from an office. You'll be running printers, CNC equipment and producing signage yourself, while also taking responsibility for quoting, workflow, quality and coordinating our installers.

You should be able to look at a new job and work out:

How are we making it? What materials do we need? How long will it take? Who is installing it? When can we get it done? And what should we charge?

You'll need to be comfortable juggling multiple jobs, changing priorities when required and taking responsibility for keeping work moving through production and installation.
