Disability Support Worker – Scarness / Hervey Bay

Contract Care Support Services (CCSS) is seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team and provide high-quality support to a participant located in Scarness, Hervey Bay QLD.

We are looking for someone who is professional, patient and genuinely committed to supporting people with disability to live as independently and comfortably as possible.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support tailored to the participant's individual needs and goals.

Your responsibilities may include:

- Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities

- Supporting community access and participation

- Assisting with household tasks and meal preparation

- Supporting the participant to attend appointments and activities

- Providing companionship and social support

- Following individual support plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies where applicable

- Supporting medication routines in accordance with the participant's care plan and organisational procedures

- Maintaining professional boundaries and promoting the participant's dignity, privacy and independence

- Completing accurate shift notes and required documentation

- Reporting any incidents, concerns or changes in the participant's presentation to the appropriate team members

- Working collaboratively with the participant, family members, support coordinators and other members of their support team

About You

We are looking for workers who are:

- Compassionate, patient and respectful

- Reliable and punctual

- Confident working independently

- Comfortable supporting people with complex or varying needs





- Skilled and able to maintain appropriate boundaries

- Strong communicators with good written documentation skills

- Committed to person-centred support and the NDIS Practice Standards

- Previous disability support experience is highly regarded

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) OR a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience

- NDIS Worker Screening Check

- Working with Children Check (Blue Card) – QLD, where applicable

- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate

- Police Check issued within the last 12 months

- Full Australian Driver's Licence

- Comprehensive Car Insurance if using your vehicle to transport the participant

- The right to work in Australia

- Ability to provide evidence of all required compliance documents
