Hays has partnered with a global leader in automated logistics and intralogistics solutions, operating highly automated distribution and warehouse environments across the world. Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Specialist to join a site-based team and play a key role in fostering a positive safety culture and supporting workplace health and safety initiatives.

Your new role
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of workplace health and safety across the site. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with operational teams to ensure compliance, maintain documentation, coordinate training, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the safety function.

Key responsibilities include:

- Coordinating workplace health and safety activities and supporting site safety initiatives.

- Maintaining risk assessments, safety documentation, operating procedures and compliance records.

- Coordinating safety training, inductions and ongoing employee education.

- Supporting incident investigations, near miss reporting and corrective actions.

- Managing safety registers, inspection schedules and compliance documentation.

- Assisting with contractor management and stakeholder engagement activities.

- Maintaining hazardous substances registers, safety data sheets and workplace safety records.





- Supporting health monitoring programs and workplace wellbeing initiatives.

- Promoting a proactive safety culture across the site.

What you'll need to succeed

- To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Previous experience in a Health & Safety, WHS or HSE position.

- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.

- Experience conducting investigations, risk assessments and safety audits.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Strong administrative and documentation management capability.

- Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications.

- The ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.

- Candidates with experience in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, automation or industrial environments will be highly regarded.
