About the Opportunity

As Senior Policy Advisor, you’ll report to the Program Manager, Funding, Reform and Regulation, developing policy advice, submissions and position statements on health system reform and general practice funding. You’ll work with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for a strong, sustainable general practice sector.

As our Senior Policy Officer, you’ll also:

- Develop high-quality policy advice, submissions, position statements, briefings and resources on general practice funding and health system reform.
- Monitor policy and regulatory developments, analysing data and research to identify emerging issues and opportunities for general practice.
- Collaborate with RACGP teams, expert committees, members, government and external stakeholders to develop effective policy responses and resources.
- Advocate for sustainable, accessible general practice by contributing evidence-based policy that supports GPs, practices and better patient outcomes.

Skills & Experience

- Experience developing policy advice, submissions and position statements on relevant policy or sector issues.
- Strong research, analytical and data skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear advice and resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience building relationships and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.




- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, with a commitment to evidence-based policy and continuous improvement.
