Job Description
Confession...
We’re not looking for just any Speech Pathologist.
We’re looking for someone who’s ready for what’s next.
You’ve got 5+ years behind you. You know your craft, you’re confident clinically and you’ve probably started wondering what the next stage of your career could look like.
Maybe leadership is on your radar, but you don’t want to step away from the clinical work you love.
This could be the sweet spot.
Join a large, established multidisciplinary team where you’ll have the autonomy that comes with experience, plenty of clinical support around you and the opportunity to complete our 12-month Team Lead Development Program.
There’s no expectation that you arrive knowing how to lead a team. That’s exactly what the program is designed to develop.
What you’ll be doing
· Deliver evidence-based therapy across home, school and community settings.
· Complete assessments and develop meaningful, participant-centred therapy plans.
· Work alongside a large and experienced multidisciplinary team.
· Bring your clinical experience to the team and support the development of others.
· Continue building your own clinical expertise while developing your leadership capability.
· Make a genuine difference in the lives of participants every day.
The leadership pathway
If Team Leadership is where you’d like your career to head, we’ll help you build the skills to get there.
Our 12-month Team Lead Development Program gives experienced clinicians the opportunity to develop their capability in areas such as coaching, supporting clinicians, team leadership and the day-to-day realities of leading a successful allied health team.
You’ll have the chance to learn and develop before taking that next step.
You’ll thrive here if you...
· Are a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with SPA registration
· Have 5+ years’ clinical experience.
· Have experience working within the NDIS.
· Enjoy being part of a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
· Like sharing your knowledge and supporting less experienced clinicians.
· Are curious about leadership and ready to explore what the next stage of your career could look like.
Why Ability Action Australia?
· 12-month Team Lead Development Program.
· A large, established team around you, you won’t be doing this alone.
· Excellent salary package and benefits.
· Flexible work arrangements.
· Regular CPD and strong clinical support.
· Genuine career progression and leadership opportunities.
· Minimum 3 days per week, because the right person doesn’t necessarily need to be full time.
· A supportive culture where experienced clinicians can keep growing without giving up the clinical work they love.
Not sure you’re ready to call yourself a future Team Leader yet?
That’s completely fine.
You don’t need to apply with a five-year career plan mapped out. If you’re an experienced Speech Pathologist who knows you’re ready for something more, Apply Now and let’s start with a confidential conversation.
I’d love to hear where you’re at, what you want next and whether we might be able to help you get there.
