PlayCo is looking for a senior leader to take ownership of our Western Australian business.
This is a key leadership role within PlayCo’s national playground business, with responsibility for the commercial, operational and people performance of the state operation.
You’ll lead an established sales and project delivery team, build on a strong existing business and identify opportunities across metropolitan and regional markets.
The role
You’ll take overall responsibility for the commercial, operational and people performance of PlayCo’s Western Australian business, including:
- State sales, revenue, gross margin, pipeline and business performance
- Leadership and development of the WA sales and project delivery teams
- Key customers, major projects and strategic opportunities
- Growth of PlayCo’s direct project business across metropolitan and regional WA
- Key channel, distributor and strategic partner relationships
- Project delivery, customer outcomes and commercial performance
- State business planning, market development and execution
- Forecasting, reporting and commercial discipline
- Contributing to national strategy and broader PlayCo priorities
This is a hands-on senior leadership role with significant autonomy. You’ll be expected to set direction, make sound commercial decisions and drive execution, while working with an established team and building on the foundations already in place.
About you
We’re looking for an experienced commercial leader who knows how to lead a successful regional business and take it further.
You will bring:
- Senior State, Regional, Sales or Business leadership experience
- A strong track record of delivering commercial results through a team
- Strong commercial acumen across sales, pipeline, revenue, margin and forecasting
- Experience leading project-based sales and delivery environments
- The ability to develop people, set clear standards and create accountability
- Strong customer, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing major accounts, channels and strategic relationships
- A sound understanding of tendering, procurement and long-cycle project sales
- The ability to move between strategic thinking and hands-on execution
- Experience in construction, development, landscape, infrastructure, building products or a similar project-based environment
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across WA and nationally
