Location: Balgo (Wirrimanu) Western Australia

Full-Time, Maximum Term Position (12 months)

We are seeking an Administration Assistant to provide frontline administrative and client support services within the remote community of Balgo (Wirrimanu).

Working closely with the CEO and broader team, this position provides essential administrative, reception and client support services to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of Wirrimanu Aboriginal Corporation. The role supports community members with a range of enquiries and services while assisting with office administration, record keeping, meeting coordination and general organisational support.

This is a varied and rewarding role requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, cultural awareness and a genuine commitment to supporting Aboriginal community members. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a community-focused setting and have a respectful and qualified approach to client service.

This position is worked full-time Monday to Friday, office hours (between 8:00am to 4:00pm).

Key Responsibilities

- Assist community members with general enquiries and administrative matters.

- Provide support with everyday banking enquiries, including prisoner bank transfers.

- Assist clients with Centrelink-related enquiries, claims and income management matters.

- Support NDIS participants with administrative and practical assistance as directed.

- Assist community members to complete forms, applications and other documentation.

- Answer incoming telephone calls and take accurate messages.

- Provide administrative support to the CEO and management team.





- Assist with coordinating meetings, including staff and Board meetings.

- Support lodge bookings and maintain booking records.

- Maintain accurate client, financial and administrative records.

- Undertake filing, scanning, photocopying and data entry duties.

- Receive, distribute and manage incoming mail and correspondence.

- Monitor office supplies and assist with stock ordering.

- Provide transport and practical assistance to clients where required.

- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming office environment.

- Participate in training, meetings and professional development activities.

- Carry out duties in accordance with organisational policies, procedures and directions

What We’re Looking For

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to provide respectful client service while maintaining confidentiality.

- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email and data entry.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Understanding of, and respect for, Aboriginal culture and community protocols.

- Current Australian C Class Driver's Licence.

- National Police Check (not older than six months).





Salary and Benefits

- A salary of $85,000 per annum plus superannuation

- Annual Leave of 5 weeks plus 17.5% Annual leave loading

- $5,000 per year personal travel allowance to support travel outside the community.
