Challenge Southern Highlands have a permanent full time position available as a Supported Employment Services Support Worker. The successful candidate will be working along side, overseeing and supporting individuals with disabilities in a work environment, helping them develop skills and achieve employment goals. This role is crucial in offering opportunities for our supported employees to gain valuable work experience and potentially transitioning to open employment. You will need to show commitment to the role, and be caring and compassionate towards supported employees at all times.

You will be patient, well organised, have a professional attitude with the ability to inspire our team of supported employees. The role will involve breaking down complex initiatives and providing clear instructions to ensure our clients can complete allocated tasks. These will include activities across a diverse range of business initiatives such as secure document destruction, light manufacturing,
mail distribution and packaging.
Qualifications & experience
- First Aid Certificate - or willingness to undertake
- Unrestricted Drivers License - Class C
- If Nationally Recognized Qualifications such as Certificate III or IV in Disability are not held, study opportunities can be provided once hired
- Professional can do attitude and appearance
- Good communication skills
- Quick learner with a high degree of attention to detail
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
Tasks & responsibilities
- Supervision and direction of supported employees
- Processing & managing customer orders, inquires and ensuring deadlines are met
- Effective communication to key stake holders with the ability to adapt to changes
