About the role (10 - 20 hours a week)
Immanuel Lutheran College is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Learn to Swim Teacher to join our team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to share your passion for swimming with students and help them develop vital life-long water safety and swimming skills. Early morning, mid-morning and afternoon shifts available.
What you'll be doing
- Provide high-quality swimming lessons to babies, toddlers and students of all ages and abilities
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures
- Plan and deliver engaging, structured swim programs that are tailored to the individual needs of each student
- Provide regular feedback and progress reports to students and their families
- Collaborate with the wider sports and recreation team to support the overall aquatics program at the college
What we're looking for
- Relevant qualifications in swimming teaching, such as Austswim or Swim Australia Teachers certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and motivate students
- A current First Aid certificate and CPR qualification
- A passion for aquatics and a commitment to helping students develop their swimming abilities
- (Desired but not essential) Demonstrated experience in teaching learn-to-swim programs to a diverse range of age groups and skill levels
