About the role

Every day, our fleet helps keep essential services moving, supporting the people and operations that rely on safe, reliable vehicles. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Commercial Fleet Coordinator to lead the management of the PTA's leased and hired light commercial vehicle fleet, ensuring vehicles are fit for purpose, compliant and available to meet operational needs. You will drive strategic fleet initiatives while maintaining high standards of safety, governance, risk management and operational efficiency.

As the central point of contact for fleet-related activities, you will build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, Fleetcare, State Fleet and other service providers. You will coordinate vehicle acquisition, replacement and disposal programs, oversee supplier performance and provide expert advice to support business outcomes. Your ability to influence stakeholders, interpret policies and resolve complex operational issues will be key to your success.

Using data and insights to drive continuous improvement, you will analyse fleet utilisation, maintenance, expenditure and compliance performance to optimise fleet effectiveness and support informed decision-making. If you are a highly organised professional with a strong governance mindset, a focus on stakeholder engagement and a commitment to safety, accountability and excellence, we'd love to hear from you.

About You!

To excel in this role, you should possess:

- Demonstrated experience in fleet management within a large organisation, including strategic planning, policy development, and operational oversight.

- Sound knowledge of government fleet policy frameworks, including leasing arrangements, vehicle safety standards, and sustainability targets such as electric vehicle adoption.

- Demonstrated ability to coordinate operational service delivery and achieve outcomes in a customer-focused environment.

- Ability to negotiate, influence and resolve issues effectively.
