The role
This Australian investing platform gives 750,000+ customers access to ASX and Wall St, with A$8B+ under administration.
You will lead Information Security and IT, reporting to the CTOO. Expect to be 30 to 40% hands-on, working with an external security partner and auditors, with the rest of your time spent bringing Product, Engineering, Risk and Operations along with you. Stepping up into your first Head of role is fine if the influencing skills are there.

About you

- You have personally led an organisation through ISO 27001 or SOC 2, (not as a consultant and not as one part of a large team)
- Technical origin (software, security or DevOps engineering) or a track record inside a strong engineering culture so you can weigh architecture-level risk
- You can give a specific, first-person example of influencing a stakeholders,



and you build trust with relationships rather than just present evidence
- Experience in a product-led, customer-facing business where you built the function rather than inherited a mature one
- Robust opinions held loosely: you advocate hard, compromise when it makes sense and own it when you are wrong
- Energy and presence: you make security engaging for founders, the board and engineers alike
