About the role

SMS Security is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Scheduler to join our team on a full time basis in Perth, WA. This is a crucial operational position within our security division, responsible for coordinating and scheduling security, resources, and services to meet client requirements and project timelines. The Scheduler will play a vital role in ensuring seamless service delivery, optimal resource allocation, and client satisfaction across our portfolio of construction security contracts.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinate and schedule security installation's across multiple construction sites and projects in accordance with client contracts and service level agreements

- Manage shift allocations, ensuring appropriate coverage levels and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

- Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to understand security requirements and adjust scheduling accordingly

- Maintain accurate scheduling records and databases, ensuring all information is current and accessible to relevant team members

- Monitor and respond to scheduling conflicts, absences, and last-minute changes to ensure continuous service delivery

- Prepare reports on scheduling metrics, resource utilisation, and service delivery performance

- Communicate scheduling updates and changes to security personnel promptly and clearly

- Collaborate with HR and management to plan staffing levels and identify training or recruitment needs

- Support the implementation of scheduling systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in scheduling, workforce planning, or resource coordination, ideally within the security, construction, or facilities management sectors

- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

- Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office applications,



with the ability to quickly learn new systems

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders

- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping

- Problem-solving ability and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and client requirements

- Knowledge of construction industry practices and security operations is advantageous

- Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively as part of a team

- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites when necessary
