About the role

The Deckhand is responsible for supporting the safe operation, maintenance, and presentation of a privately operated 34-metre motor yacht, ensuring the vessel remains in excellent condition for the owner's use and occasional charter activities. The role requires a high level of professionalism, seamanship, and attention to detail, with an emphasis on continuity, reliability, and long-term commitment, given the vessel's operational profile, which includes extended periods of shore-based operations and intermittent sea time.

Key responsibilities

- Assist with daily deck/shore operations and vessel movements

- Maintain deck equipment, lines, fenders, and tender operations

- Support maritime safety procedures and compliance documentation

- Assist senior crew with operational readiness and vessel presentation

- Contribute to safe navigation support and lookout duties as required

About you

- Extensive and verifiable sea time experience on superyachts, commercial vessels, or similar maritime environments, demonstrating qualified maturity and operational competence





- Strong professional seamanship with the ability to apply judgement, anticipate vessel needs, and uphold high operational standards without supervision

- Independent decision-making capability and the ability to respond appropriately to changing conditions, operational requirements, and unexpected situations

- High situational awareness with a proactive approach to safety and risk identification in dynamic maritime environments

- Ability to work autonomously during shore-based operational periods, ensuring vessel readiness, presentation, and continuity of operations when the vessel is not underway

- Commitment to vessel presentation and operational standards consistent with luxury vessel operations

- Demonstrated maritime safety competence with a strong understanding of safety procedures and emergency response expectations
