Purpose of the role
The purpose of the role is to carry out a wide range of general farm labouring work, property maintenance and project related tasks to help maintain and improve our property and facilities, and to assist with the operation of our machinery and equipment.
Who we are looking for
This is an entry level position and no previous farm, trade or machinery experience is required.
We are happy to train the right person on the job. What matters to us is that you enjoy physical work in an outdoors rural type setting, and that you are willing to chip in and get your hands dirty doing all the behind the scenes tasks associated with maintaining and operating such a large rural property and tourism business.
Glenworth Valley prides ourselves on having a fantastic team culture, so someone with a friendly, positive and can do attitude is a must — we hire on work ethic and personality and teach the rest. Any previous farming, labouring or construction experience is a bonus but is not expected. All applicants must be above 17, have their driver licence, be non smoking and be energetic and capable of strenuous physical labour.
Hours of employment
Employment is offered on a casual basis, likely 3-5 days per week. Hours of employment typically range from 7am to 5pm, Mon – Fri.
Remuneration
The base rate of pay is $33.05 per hour for Mon – Sat work, $46.27 for Sunday work and $72.71 for Public Holiday work (including casual loading). These rates can vary depending on experience. All rates are before tax and plus super.
