After-Hours Support Worker
MyHab Addiction Treatment Centre – Melbourne, VIC

We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate After-Hours Support Worker to join our residential team.

About the Role

Working outside standard hours, you will provide client supervision, emotional support, and incident response. You’ll help ensure continuity of care and the safety of all residents during evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities
Provide after-hours support, supervision, and guidance to clients
Respond to incidents or crises professionally and calmly
Maintain accurate documentation and shift handovers
Support clients through wellbeing check-ins and relapse-prevention strategies
Assist with occasional client transport
Ensure a safe, respectful, and therapeutic workplace

To Be Successful, You’ll Have:
Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD)



or similar qualification
A current driver’s licence
Robust communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage challenging situations with empathy
Availability for evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts

We Also Value:
Lived experience with addiction and recovery
Experience in residential support, community services, or similar roles
Understanding of abstinence approach and trauma-informed care
