About the role
The Data Business Analyst will translate business needs into clear, structured data requirements that support reporting, analytics, operational insights, and regulatory obligations. The role partners with business stakeholders, data engineers, and BI teams to ensure data solutions are accurate, trusted, and aligned to business outcomes.

What's Required
This would suit a data focussed Business Analyst who can act as a bridge between business users and data delivery teams. More specifically they will have the following skills and experience:
Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Data, Business, or related field (preferred)
Relevant certifications (e.g. CBAP, PMI-PBA, data or analytics certifications) – desirable
3–5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong data or analytics focus




Experience working with data engineers, analytics teams, or BI developers
Experience delivering data solutions in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to translate business needs into structured data requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid stakeholder engagement and facilitation capability Technical / Professional Skills
SQL capability for data analysis and validation
Experience with data warehouses, lakes, or analytics platforms
Familiarity with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker – requirements/validation level)
Understanding of data pipelines (ETL/ELT concepts)
Experience documenting data lineage and metadata Experience
