About the role
The Events Manager is responsible for leading the Events team across The Mulberry Group's venues, driving event sales and ensuring the seamless delivery of all events. This role combines strategic oversight, people leadership and hands-on coordination to ensure exceptional guest experiences, robust client relationships, and consistent achievement of revenue targets.
Key responsibilities
Directly manage, supervise and support Events Coordinators
Lead regular 1:1s and team check-ins to maintain alignment and morale
Conduct performance appraisals and ongoing development reviews
Proactively respond to incoming leads and client inquiries, aiming to exceed business expectations
Manage end-to-end lead management across phone, email and social channels
Serve as the primary liaison with clients, including making calls, confirming bookings and responding to emails regarding event details
Host client meetings and provide detailed follow-up summaries
Communicate clearly with in-venue teams about the status of upcoming events, specific requests and staffing requirements
Ensure all event details are accurately captured and maintained in Tripleseat and Google Drive, including forecasted and actual revenue data
Serve as a familiar and friendly face at the onset of large-scale events, weddings and offsite engagements, overseeing the initial hour to ensure a smooth start
About you
Ability to manage and supervise team members
Robust client relationship and communication skills
Experience with event sales and lead management
Proficiency with event management systems and administrative tools
Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously
Financial acumen for revenue reconciliation and reporting
Flexibility to accommodate occasional weekend work as required by event schedules
