About the role

As Workshop Operations & Customer Service Coordinator, you will be the main link between customers, workshop team, suppliers and management. You will help manage bookings, customer communication, parts, estimates, invoicing and workflow while ensuring information moves accurately between the front office and the workshop. This role requires someone who is confident, organised and comfortable taking charge when required. You will not be expected to perform mechanical work, however a genuine understanding of vehicles and mechanical terminology is essential.

Key responsibilities
Being the primary point of contact for BYE Performance customers
Managing incoming phone calls, emails and enquiries
Discussing customer requirements and understanding the mechanical work being requested
Communicating job progress, recommendations, estimates and timelines to customers
Preparing and processing estimates, invoices and payments
Managing workshop bookings and assisting with daily job scheduling
Working closely with technicians and management to help keep jobs moving efficiently
Ordering parts and liaising with suppliers




Following up parts, approvals and outstanding customer information
Assisting with stock control and inventory management

About you
Strong automotive and mechanical knowledge
An understanding of vehicle components, parts and common mechanical terminology
Experience within an automotive workshop, dealership, parts, service advising or similar setting
Confidence discussing vehicle requirements and repairs with customers
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Robust organisational and time-management skills
The ability to prioritise multiple jobs and tasks
A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership
Valuable computer and administrative skills
The ability to work independently without needing constant direction
