Lead Cyber Security Advisor NV1-Canberra
We are seeking an experienced LeadCyber Security Advisorto support a major Federal Government digital transformation program.
The role combines hands‐on security engineering, cloud security, identity and access management, DevSecOps and security assurance across Microsoft and Azure environments.
Key Responsibilities
Implement secure technology patterns across enterprise digital projects.
Configure and validate security controls acrossMicrosoft Entra ID, Azure, M365 and SharePoint Online.
Implement identity, authentication, authorisation, Conditional Access and access governance controls.
SecureAzure DevOps pipelines, including automated security scanning, security gates and code assurance.
Support secure SharePoint Online records management, information protection and retention controls.
Engineer security patterns forAzure AI, Azure AI Foundry and emerging technologies.
Support security requirements for remote and regional infrastructure.
Conduct security testing, remediation, deployment assurance and operational readiness.
Implement and evidence controls aligned withISM, PSPF, Essential Eight,



privacy and data protection requirements.
Produce clear security implementation, assurance and handover documentation.
Key Skills & Experience
Strong enterpriseCyber Security Engineering / Security Architectureexperience.
Hands‐onMicrosoft Entra ID / IAMexperience.
Robust security experience acrossAzure, AWS and Microsoft 365.
Experience securingAzure DevOps / CI/CD pipelinesand implementing DevSecOps practices.
SharePoint Online security and records/EDRMS experience.
Strong knowledge ofISM, PSPF and Essential Eight.
Experience with cloud, low-code/RAD and AI security highly desirable.
Federal Government experience will be highly regarded.
