About the Role
n
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Male SEE Program Teacher to join our team on the Tiwi Islands in the Northern Territory.
n
The successful applicant will deliver the Australian Government Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program to adult learners, supporting participants to improve their language, literacy, numeracy, digital and employability skills.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working in a remote community and wants to make a meaningful difference to adult learners and their employment and education pathways.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Plan, deliver and assess engaging SEE Program training.
n
Teach language, literacy, numeracy, digital and employability skills.
n
Develop individual learning plans based on each participant's needs.
n
Conduct initial and ongoing learner assessments.
n
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
n
Provide individual mentoring, encouragement and learning support.
n
Create a safe, inclusive and culturally respectful learning environment.
n
Develop contextualised training and learning resources.
n
Liaise with employers, community organisations and relevant stakeholders.
n
Ensure delivery meets SEE Program, RTO and Australian Government requirements.

Essential Requirements
n
n
Recognised teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
n
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE*****) or equivalent, where required.
n
Demonstrated experience teaching adult learners.
n
Strong knowledge of language, literacy and numeracy development.
n
Good digital literacy skills.
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Ability to work independently in a remote location.
n
Current National Police Check.
n
Working with Children Check, where applicable.
n
n
Desirable Experience
n
n
Experience delivering government-funded education or employment programs.
n
Knowledge of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF).
n
Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners.
n
Experience working in remote or regional communities.
n
Experience supporting learners with low-level literacy and numeracy skills.
n
Understanding of culturally responsive teaching practices.
n
