Job Description
Sydney Health & Care Services (SHCS) is growing across Greater Sydney. We're looking for reliable Community Support Workers who can support participants living with mental health challenges — including complex behaviours, dementia and dual diagnosis (drug & alcohol).

Casual shifts available:
n
(Female workers ONLY)
n
Location: Bradbury
n
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 10am - 2pm
n
Requires experience in: AOD support, mental health, brain injury, and personal care.
n
(Female workers ONLY)
n
Location: Penrith
n
Thursday: 10am - 3pm
n
Requires experience in mental health
n
(Female or Male workers)
n
Location: Chipping Norton
n
Monday and Wednesday: 11am - 1pm
n
Requires experience with dementia
n
Key Responsibilities of this role:
n
n
Experience supporting people with complex needs, ABI, dementia, and/or mental health
n
Supervision and prompting of medication administration
n
Strong emotional regulation and calm communication style
n
Use validation, reassurance, and redirection during distress
n
Respect choice and control, including refusal of support
n
Follow Behaviour Support Plans and safety protocols
n
Personal care and manual handling when necessary
n
Assistance with hygiene, cleaning, and bedding
n
Maintain accurate,
objective documentation
n
n
What you bring:
n
n
A reliable car with comprehensive insurance (mandatory), full unrestricted Australian driver's licence, and willingness to travel across Sydney
n
Proven reliability, professionalism, and excellent communication
n
Minimum 6 months experience in mental health, disability support, or community services (or Certificate IV in Mental Health)
n
Calm under pressure; solid judgment and boundaries
n
Smartphone literacy for rostering and documentation
n
n
Must-have compliance (or willing to obtain):
n

NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
Working With Children Check (NSW)
n
First Aid & CPR
n
Police Check
n
Unrestricted work rights in Australia
n
Preferred: Certificate III/IV in Community Services, Mental Health, or related field (or equivalent experience)
n
