Job Description
n
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated TMS System Team Lead who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The position is based Brisbane, Australia.
n
You will be accountable for documenting and communicating solutions to existing and new Rail clients as part of a greater development team. You will also elicit requirements from clients for feedback to R&D; and propose possible novel integrations of our solutions within existing client infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Understand stakeholders' business process

Capture stakeholders' needs accurately
n
Transform business requirements into technical requirements
n
Document system and software requirements
n
Understand different levels of integration
n
Understand the challenges of maintaining a consistent global state
n
Describe different types of integration patterns
n
Identify and avoid some of the pitfalls of integrating legacy systems
n
n
Key Requirements
n
Qualifications
n
n
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
n
Relevant rail industry certifications (highly desirable).
n
n
Experience
n
n
Demonstrated experience in railway signalling systems, particularly Operational systems.
n
Experience with ETCS, CBTC, or similar train control systems.
n
Experience in system integration, testing, and commissioning.
n
Experience with complex systems and especially software intensive complex systems.
n
n
Technical Skills
n
n
Strong understanding of signalling principles and train control systems.
n
Knowledge of railway safety standards and lifecycle processes.
n
Experience with system integration activities (lab integration set to work, V&V;).
n
Experience with software development and design tools.
n
n
Soft Skills
n
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
n
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and fast-paced project environment.
n
High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
n
Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when required.
