We are looking for an experiencedSenior Technical Security Specialistto design, deploy, maintain, and support large-scale corporate network and security infrastructure acrosson-premises and Cloud environments.
n
he role will work closely with
Network/Security/Application
Architects, Business Stakeholders, Project Managers, Engineering, Operations teams, and technology vendors to deliver secure, resilient, and cost-effective network solutions.
n
The successful candidate will operate at a senior technical level, work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and provideTier 3 technical supportfor complex network and security issues.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Design and deploy corporate network and security solutions across on-premises and Cloud environments.
n
Develop and maintain detailed technical solution designs, architecture documents, and implementation documentation.
n
Work closely with business stakeholders,
Network/Security/Application
Architects, and project teams to understand requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
n
Prepare detailed configuration, system integration, and
implementation/change
plans.
n
Conduct peer reviews and ensure changes are implemented with minimal risk and disruption.
n
ProvideTier 3 supportfor complex network and security incidents.
n
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Problem Incident Reviews (PIR).
n
Troubleshoot and resolve high-impact technical issues across network and security platforms.
n
Work with vendors to suspend issues, identify solutions, and implement fixes or workarounds.
n
Conduct pre-upgrade testing, staging, and laboratory testing where required.
n
Plan and execute network upgrades and change requests, including stakeholder engagement, approvals, and maintenance windows.
n
Participate in after-hours network changes, typically commencing between7:00 PM and 11:00 PM, with activities lasting approximately1-6 hoursdepending on complexity.
n
Troubleshoot issues arising during upgrades and coordinate vendor support when required.
n
Prepare operational handover documentation and ensure successful transition to Operations.
n
Develop work instructions, provisioning guides, and other operational support materials.
n
Provide technical feedback and recommendations to improve future network upgrades and operational processes.
n

Technical Skills & Experience
n
Network & Infrastructure
n
n
Extensive hands-on experience designing and configuring enterprise network and security infrastructure.
n
Strong knowledge ofLAN, WAN, and Data Centre networking.
n
Expert-level experience withCisco routing and
switchingtechnologies.
n
Strong understanding ofOSPF and BGP.
n
Experience withNAT, DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM).
n
Knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN).
n
n
Strong experience with networking services across one or more of the major Cloud platforms:
n
n
AWS:Direct Connect, VPC, Transit Gateway and related networking services.
n
Microsoft
Azure:ExpressRoute,
vNet, Virtual WAN (vWAN), vHub and related services.
n
Google Cloud:Partner Interconnect, VPC and related networking services.
n
n
Experience acrossAWS, Azure, and GCPis highly desirable.
n
Network Security
n
n
Strong experience with enterprise firewall technologies and security platforms.
n
Preferred firewall experience:n
n
Fortinet
n
Check Point
n
Palo Alto, Cisco, or other major firewall platforms
n
n
Experience in firewall policy design and implementation.
n
Knowledge of IDS/IPS technologies.
n
Experience with firewall policy management tools such asAlgoSec FireFlowor equivalent.
n
n
Automation & Infrastructure as Code
n
n
Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as:n
n
Terraform
n
Ansible
n
GitLab
n
n
Understanding of API integration and management.
n
n
DDI & DNS
n
n
Experience with DDI (DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management) platforms.
n
Experience withEfficientIPis highly desirable.
n
Experience withInfoblox, BlueCat, or equivalent DDI solutions will also be considered.
n
Knowledge of Cloud DNS services such asAWS Route 53or equivalent.
n

Qualifications & Certifications
n
n
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
n
Minimum5 years of industry experiencein enterprise network design, engineering, and infrastructure.
n
Vendor certifications in DDI and Security technologies are highly regarded.
n
AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
networking/security
certifications are desirable.
n
CISSPor other recognised Cybersecurity certifications are advantageous.
n
Certifications in Fortinet, Check Point, EfficientIP, Infoblox, or related technologies are highly desirable.
n
