About the role
n
We are working with a well-established not-for-profit organisation to recruit a Senior Accounts Payable Officer for a permanent position based in Brisbane.
n
This is a high-volume accounts payable role suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes ownership of their work and can build strong relationships across the organisation.
n
You will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of accounts payable, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time while supporting a smooth and efficient finance function.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently.
n
Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process.
n
Ensure invoices are correctly coded, approved and processed.
n
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
n
Respond to supplier and internal queries in a timely manner.
n
Maintain accurate records and support month-end activities.
n
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
n




Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes.
n

About you
n
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer who is organised, reliable and comfortable working in a high-volume environment.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Previous experience in a high-volume accounts payable role.
n
Robust attention to detail and accuracy.
n
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
n
Experience with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
n
A proactive approach to resolving issues and improving processes.
n
n
Experience working within a not-for-profit, or similarly complex organisation would be advantageous, but is not essential.
n
