OT Strategy, Cybersecurity & Industrial Transformation

South Australia is entering a significant period of investment across mining, water, energy, defence and critical infrastructure.
n
Search Partners are working with a national industrial technology and engineering business that wants to strengthen its OT capability in Adelaide and is looking for a senior person to help lead that growth.
n
This is a newly created role with a broad mandate.
n
The business already has established relationships across many of South Australia's major industrial and critical infrastructure organisations. What we're looking for is someone locally who can operate at a senior level with those clients, understanding their operational and technology challenges, helping define where they need to go next, and building the consulting and delivery capability around those needs.
n
The work could range from an OT strategy or cyber maturity engagement through to a major SCADA modernisation, network architecture program or broader digital transformation initiative.

The opportunity

You'll work across areas including:
n

OT strategy, architecture and technology roadmaps
n
SCADA and control system modernisation
n
OT cybersecurity, resilience and IEC *****
n
Industrial networks and IT/OT convergence
n
Digital transformation and industrial technology
n
Technology lifecycle and modernisation planning
n
Senior client advisory and stakeholder workshops
n
Identification and development of new consulting opportunities
n
Building capability and mentoring technical specialists
n
n
Importantly, this isn't a traditional sales position.
n
There are existing clients, relationships and delivery capability already in place. The opportunity is to become a trusted senior OT advisor in the region,



helping clients work out what they need and positioning the business to support them through the journey.
n
Equally, it isn't a role for someone who wants to spend every day writing PLC code or delivering a predefined scope.
n
It sits deliberately between strategy, technology, clients and delivery.
n
The background we're looking for.
n
You might currently be a Principal OT Consultant, senior automation leader, OT architect, digital transformation specialist, OT cybersecurity consultant or an experienced client-side OT leader.
n
You don't need to be the deepest technical specialist across every technology.
n
What matters is that you have:
n
n
A strong grounding in industrial OT, automation or control systems
n
Credibility with engineering, operations and technology stakeholders
n
The ability to see the bigger picture across architecture, cyber, modernisation and digital
n
Strong relationships within the South Australian industrial market
n
Commercial awareness and the ability to recognise where an advisory conversation can become meaningful work
n
Enough technical depth to challenge, guide and bring the right specialists into the room
n
n
Where could it lead?
n
The intention is not simply to add another senior consultant to an existing team.
n
There is genuine scope for the right person to help establish and grow the SA/NT OT capability, build a team around the market prospect and take on increasing regional leadership as the business develops.
n
You'll have the backing of a national engineering and OT delivery business, a vendor agnostic technology approach and an established industrial customer base.
n
