Lead Cyber Security Architect - NV1 - Canberra - Hybrid
We are seeking an experiencedLead Cyber Security Architectto provide strategic security architecture leadership across a complex Federal Government ICT environment.
The role will lead the assessment, design and assurance of secure technology solutions, strengthen enterprise cyber security posture, and ensure security is embeddedby designacross technology investments and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead security architecture and assurance across complex ICT projects and transformation initiatives.
Provide architecture advice acrosscloud, infrastructure, applications, data, identity and integrationdomains.
Developtarget-state security architectures, roadmaps, reference architectures, standards and reusable security patterns.
Identify and manage cyber security risks throughout the solution lifecycle.
Conduct security architecture reviews, risk assessments and design assurance.
Embedsecure-by-design and Zero Trustprinciples into enterprise solutions.
Provide security architecture leadership acrosshybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Work closely with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, cyber security teams and delivery teams.
Ensure solutions align withISM, PSPF, Essential Eight, IRAPand relevant Australian Government security requirements.
Support cyber security strategy, security uplift initiatives and continuous improvement of enterprise security maturity.
Provide trusted advice to senior technology, security and business stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
Highly Desirable




Strong experience as aSecurity Architect, Lead Security Architect or Enterprise Security Architect.
Demonstrated experience designing and assuring secure solutions in large, complex enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge ofcloud security, IAM, cyber risk management and enterprise security architecture.
Experience acrossmulti-cloud and hybrid environments, including Azure and/or AWS.
Solid practical understanding ofZero Trust Architectureand secure-by-design principles.
Experience improving organisational cyber security posture and maturity.
Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to provide pragmatic security advice at senior levels.
Australian Government or similarly regulated enterprise experience highly regarded.
Desirable
Strong knowledge ofISM, PSPF, Essential Eight and IRAP.
Experience developing enterprise security strategies, roadmaps, standards and reference architectures.
Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks such asTOGAF.
Relevant certifications such asSABSA, CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Security Specialty, TOGAFor equivalent.
