Employment Type: Ongoing - Full time and part-time arrangements (minimum 3 days per week). Job-share options may be considered.

This role offers flexible working arrangements, including the option to work from home 1–2 days per week, subject to operational requirements.

Psychologist: $83,898 to $*******pa
n
Specialist Psychologist: $114,016 to $139,824pa
n
Plus environmental allowance, employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

What You'll Do (On-the-job Training Provided)
n
As a Psychologist or Specialist Psychologist, you'll deliver trauma-informed care within a custodial setting, supporting the rehabilitation and reintegration of men in custody through individual and group interventions.
n
You Will
n
n
Conduct psychological assessments and individual interventions
n
Facilitate group-based rehabilitation programs
n
Provide expert consultation to staff on mental health, trauma,



and risk (including sexual and violent offender assessment)
n
Collaborate on behaviour support and case planning
n
Maintain accurate documentation in OIMS and psychology files
n
Prepare reports and provide input to statutory bodies (e.g. Parole Authority, Mental Health Review Tribunal)
n
Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and networking opportunities
n
Undergo training in specialist risk assessments by experts in the field and participate in annual conferences with renown national and international experts.

Essential Requirements
n
n
Full registration (or provisional registration) with the Psychology Board of Australia
n
Interest in trauma-informed practice, cognitive impairment, forensic risk, or behaviour change
n
A strong ethical foundation and commitment to evidence-based practice
n
Effective communication and teamwork skills
n
NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel as required
n
n

If you would like to be considered for the Specialist Psychologist role, you must also meet the additional capabilities and experience as outlined in the Crown Employees Psychologists Award.
