Position Overview
n
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, this role is suited to an early-career accounting professional who wants broad exposure to month-end processes, statutory compliance and operational finance tasks in a supportive team environment.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Support the Senior Financial Accountant with monthly reconciliations, journal preparation and review, ensuring work is accurate, complete and compliant with relevant accounting standards.
n
Conducting financial reports in accordance with timelines and policies, providing analysis to stakeholders.
n
Assisting in the preparation of BAS, FBT return, Income tax schedules and other statutory requirements.
n
Management of fixed assets, including disposals and additions.
n
Assist with company insurance claims,
including preparing supporting information and liaising with relevant stakeholders as required.
n
Assisting with stocktakes.
n

Requirements
n
n
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to work confidently with spreadsheets and financial data.
n
Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of accounting.
n
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with finance and operational stakeholders.
n
