Lead Cyber Security Advisor NV1-Canberra

We are seeking an experienced Lead Cyber Security Advisor to support a major Federal Government digital transformation program. The role combines hands‐on security engineering, cloud security, identity and access management, DevSecOps and security assurance across Microsoft and Azure environments.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Implement secure technology patterns across enterprise digital projects.
n
Configure and validate security controls across Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, M365 and SharePoint Online.
n
Implement identity, authentication, authorisation, Conditional Access and access governance controls.
n
Secure Azure DevOps pipelines, including automated security scanning, security gates and code assurance.
n
Support secure SharePoint Online records management, information protection and retention controls.
n
Engineer security patterns for Azure AI, Azure AI Foundry and emerging technologies.
n
Support security requirements for remote and regional infrastructure.
n
Conduct security testing, remediation, deployment assurance and operational readiness.
n
Implement and evidence controls aligned with ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight,



privacy and data protection requirements.
n
Produce explicit security implementation, assurance and handover documentation.
n

Key Skills & Experience
n
n
Strong enterprise Cyber Security Engineering / Security Architecture experience.
n
Hands‐on Microsoft Entra ID / IAM experience.
n
Strong security experience across Azure, AWS and Microsoft 365.
n
Experience securing Azure DevOps / CI/CD pipelines and implementing DevSecOps practices.
n
SharePoint Online security and records/EDRMS experience.
n
Strong knowledge of ISM, PSPF and Essential Eight.
n
Experience with cloud, low-code/RAD and AI security highly desirable.
n
Federal Government experience will be highly regarded.
n
