The Role

Conducting independent risk assessments of harm to self or others, including acute or chronic risk
n
Providing psychoeducation related to mental health conditions, symptoms and treatment options to individuals
n
Delivering individual or group-based skill acquisition focused interventions aimed at developing coping skills and building resilience
n

The Location

LVCC is Queensland's newest and largest correctional facility, opened in September ****. LVCC is a modern, fit-for-purpose facility and has a strong focus on rehabilitation, emphasising mental health services, substance abuse treatment, education and vocational training.

Mandatory Requirements
n
n
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology and registration or eligibility for registration with APHRA; OR
n
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and registration or eligibility for registration with APHRA; OR
n
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and membership or eligibility for membership with AASW; ANDC Class Driver's Licence
