We are seeking dedicated and reliable Gym Attendant to join our team supporting the Australian Defence Force through our ESS business.
In this front-line role, you'll be the welcoming face of the gym ensuring a safe, professional, and engaging environment for Defence personnel.
You'll manage daily reception duties, conduct fitness inductions, and help maintain the facility to the highest standards.
Role location:
Lavarack Barracks
Your responsibilities will include:
Greet and assist gym users, providing exceptional customer service and support
Conduct fitness centre inductions and maintain accurate user records
Oversee daily operations, including equipment checks and general maintenance reporting
Ensure compliance with all safety and hygiene procedures
Support the coordination of fitness activities, programs, and events
Contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming facility environment
Report hazards, near misses, or maintenance issues promptly and constructively
What we're looking for:
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Certificate III or IV in Fitness (highly desirable)
Robust interpersonal and communication skills
Reliable, professional, and proactive approach to customer service
Experience in gym or recreation facility operations highly regarded
Demonstrated commitment to safety and team collaboration
Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence clearance




Australian Citizenship is a mandatory requirement (Defence security clearance required)
