We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Machine Operator - Afternoon Shift to join our Arnott's Virginia team!
n
This role is perfect for someone experienced in operating machinery within a fast‐paced setting and who prides themselves on remaining calm, focused, and solutions‐driven.
n
You will be responsible for operating packing machinery on the line and feeding product on the band, ensuring consistent performance and quality across our production processes. If you are a strong communicator with a mechanical mindset and you enjoy being part of a supportive, hands‐on team — this could be the role for you.

What Your Day Looks Like
n
n
Set up, changeovers, operating and troubleshooting of equipment within Arnott's OH&S;, Quality and Performance Standards
n
Maintain smooth operation of packing machines and feeding stations
n
Complete quality control checks throughout the shift
n
Uphold GMP, HACCP and hygiene standards, ensuring all process areas remain clean and compliant
n
Work both autonomously and collaboratively to meet daily production requirements
n
Contribute to continuous improvement activities within the team
n
Coach and develop team
n
n
The Ingredients For Success
n
n
Previous machine operating experience in an FMCG environment
n
Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting machinery
n
Understanding of team, safety, and quality operating principles
n
Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles (advantageous)
n
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
n
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‐paced environment
n
A continuous improvement mindset
n
Strong performance and attendance record
n
High attention to detailStrong leadership and collaboration ability
n

Additional Requirements
n

Candidates will be required to complete a full medical, including drug and alcohol screening, as part of the recruitment process
n
Uniforms will be provided
n

Hourly Rate
n
$***** per hour (inclusive of shift allowance), equivalent to approximately $90,000 per annum.
