ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Casual MC/HC Truck Drivers to join our team in Burnie, Tasmania.
This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of MC/HC vehicles across local and linehaul transport operations.
Specific duties for this role will include transporting freight safely and efficiently, completing associated transport documentation, complying with fatigue management and heavy vehicle regulations, adhering to loading and axle weight requirements, and maintaining vehicles to a high operational standard.
The successful applicant will be prepared to work flexible hours as required to support operational demands.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Current MC or HC Driver's Licence required
Previous experience operating heavy vehicles in a transport and logistics environment
Strong understanding of Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and road transport compliance requirements
Demonstrated experience complying with fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility requirements
Sound knowledge of load restraint, axle weight and vehicle permit requirements
Ability to complete transport documentation accurately and efficiently
Strong focus on safety, customer service and operational excellence
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
Ability to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolution
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding workplace
