Based at: Cambridge
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
Reports to: Corrosion Engineering Director
The organisation is a UK-based provider of smart corrosion monitoring solutions that helps asset owners manage Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) risk through a combination of long-range sensors, remote data acquisition, and AI-driven analytics.
We are recruiting for an exciting recent position of Product Owner that will play a key role in defining, shaping, and delivering innovative AI-powered products across asset integrity, corrosion management, and industrial inspection workflows.
You will work closely with the Lead Corrosion Engineer and technology head to define the product vision and roadmap for AI-based CUI monitoring solutions focused on areas such as CUI prediction, inspection data analytics risk assessment, and asset integrity.
Your multifunctional role sits at the intersection of corrosion engineering, CUI monitoring, AI product development, and execution leadership.
You'll help align technical capabilities with industrial integrity needs, facilitate communication between engineering and product teams, and contribute to the development of AI solutions that improve asset reliability, reduce failure risk, and enable smarter decision-making across industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Product Roadmap: Own the product strategy & roadmap for the organisation's integrated CUI monitoring portfolio which includes our existing hardware and software products, as well as, emerging AI products and capabilities, aligned to business goals, resource availability and customer needs.
AI Product Strategy & Execution:
Support the Director of Engineering in driving the development and execution of AI-based corrosion intelligence features across asset integrity and reliability workflows.
Corrosion Engineering Translation: Translate clients' and corrosion engineers' feedback and needs into structured product requirements, features, and AI system logic.
Cross-Functional Product Alignment: Act as the coordination point between corrosion engineers, AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and product teams to ensure alignment between technical development and product vision.
Product Backlog Ownership: Define, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and value-driven feature development.
AI Model Validation & Feedback: Review AI model outputs related to CUI risk prediction and Remaining Useful Life (RUL), and provide engineering feedback for iterative improvement.
Industrial Risk & Integrity Focus: Contribute to product features focused on corrosion risk assessment, asset integrity management, inspection planning, and failure prevention.
Industry & Standards Integration: Ensure alignment with corrosion and integrity standards (e.g., API 581, 583, standards) within product logic and workflows.
Stakeholder Communication: Prepare product updates, roadmap presentations, and performance insights for internal leadership and industrial stakeholders.
Product Execution Optimization: Support continuous improvement of product development workflows, ensuring efficient collaboration between engineering, AI, and product functions.
