Handle matters in the Casualty and General Insurance practice
n
Work on insurance claims and issues for international and local insurers and corporates
n
Gain exposure to complex insurance matters and clients
n
Collaborate with lawyers and partners throughout Clyde & Co's international network
n
Participate in regular cross-office interaction regarding management of client files
n
Build client relationships and develop understanding of clients' business needs with partner support
n
For more senior lawyers, lead and delegate within the team
n
Foster a positive team environment
n

Requirements
n
n
Experience working in private practice
n
Essential experience in litigation, public/product liability and/or general insurance/coverage claims
n
Experience in civil claims related to abuse, including historic or institutional abuse-related matters may be relevant
n
Strong, consistent performance record throughout career in the relevant areas of law
n
Solid general insurance background gained from a top tier private practice environment in Australia or overseas
n
Precise, clear drafting skills
n
Strong academics
n
Self-driven, 'can do' approach
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities and meet deliverables to a very high standard
n
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, and ability to work independently
n




Commercial awareness and confidence building rapport with clients and understanding their business needs
n
Ability for more senior lawyers to lead and delegate
n
