About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and capable Intermediate Accountant to join our growing team in Perth CBD.
n

Working alongside experienced accountants and senior management, you will gain broad exposure to accounting, taxation and business advisory work while developing your technical and client management skills.
n
This role is office-based five days per week, providing a collaborative environment where you can work closely with the wider team, learn from experienced professionals and build strong client relationships.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Preparing financial accounts and management reports.
n
Preparing individual, company, trust and partnership tax returns.
n
Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other compliance requirements.
n
Assisting with tax planning and general taxation advice.
n
Maintaining accurate accounting records and reconciliations.
n
Assisting clients with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping requirements.
n
Supporting senior accountants with more complex client matters.
n
Communicating with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
n
Assisting with financial reporting and business advisory work.
n
Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and outcomes.
n
Maintaining accurate and timely workpapers and documentation.
n
Managing multiple client assignments and meeting deadlines.
n
Contributing positively to the team's culture and continuous improvement.

About You
n
We are looking for someone who is technically capable, proactive and keen to develop their career.
n
n
2-4 years' relevant Australian accounting experience.
n
Experience working in public practice or a similar accounting environment.
n
Strong accounting and taxation fundamentals.
n
Good understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements.
n
Excellent attention to detail.
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
Good organisational and time-management skills.
n
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
n
A professional and client-focused approach.
n
A willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility.
n

Qualifications
n
n
Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting, Business or equivalent.
n
CA or CPA studies commenced or a willingness to commence/progress professional studies will be highly regarded.
n
Relevant Australian accounting experience is essential.
