With processing facilities across multiple states, our client supplies premium products to customers locally and abroad. The Role
n
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working within a finance team of *****, this is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Financial Accountant.
n
You'll get broad, hands-on exposure to financial accounting, reconciliations and reporting within a business where the pace never really slows down, ideal for someone who wants to learn fast and be trusted with real responsibility early.
n
Key responsibilities include
n
n
Assisting with month-end close, including preparation of journals, accruals and prepayments
n
Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
n
Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting schedules
n
Assisting with fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals and depreciation
n
Supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable reconciliations
n
Assisting with BAS/GST preparation and other statutory compliance requirements
n
Supporting the year-end audit process, including preparation of workpapers and schedules
n
Contributing to process improvement and system initiatives within a high-volume finance function
n
Building solid working relationships across finance and operations, and communicating clearly with stakeholders at all levels
n

About You
n
n
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
n
CA/CPA studying or intending to commence
n
ideally experience with exposure to a high-volume, transactional or manufacturing environment
n
Strong technical accounting fundamentals, with solid Excel skills
n
A natural self-starter who takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what's next
n
Excellent communication skills, comfortable liaising with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
n
A genuine team player who will thrive in a close-knit, high-performing team
n
Resilient, adaptable and comfortable working at pace in a dynamic, fast-moving business
