Role Description
n
We're looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join Paramount Liquor Group and work closely with our General Counsel across a broad and interesting legal portfolio.
n
This is a hands‐on in‐house role suited to a lawyer who enjoys being close to the business, solving problems and providing practical, commercially focused advice.

The role
n
You'll support the General Counsel across a range of matters, including:
n
n
drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including supplier, distribution, logistics, warehousing, services and trading agreements
n




liquor licensing and regulatory compliance across our wholesale and retail operations
n
corporate and governance matters
n
privacy and data protection
n
employment and workplace matters
n
competition and consumer law
n
developing templates, precedents, training and legal processes
n
supporting the management of external counsel and legal spend.
n

You'll work directly with stakeholders across the business and have the opportunity to help shape and further develop Paramount's in‐house legal function.
n
About you
n
Ideally, you will have around 3-6 years' post‐admission experience, gained in private practice, in‐house or a combination of both, with strong corporate and commercial drafting skills.
n
Experience in a regulated industry such as alcohol, FMCG, retail or distribution would be highly regarded.
n
