Job Description
Are you a hunter?
n
Not someone who waits for leads to land in their inbox.
n
Someone who picks up the phone, opens doors and sees commercial opportunity where others haven't looked yet.
n
AGRANA knows there's growth to be found. Across Australia. Asia and South America. Across recent customers, distributors, categories and applications.
n
They need someone to go find it.
n
This isn't a role where you'll inherit a portfolio and spend your time maintaining it. You'll be out building what comes next. Finding new customers, opening new markets and turning an initial conversation into a genuine commercial opportunity.
n
And when you find one? You'll own it.
n
From prospecting and building the business case through to bringing the right internal teams together and taking the opportunity to commercialisation.
n
Once a strategic customer is established and ready to be managed? It can transition to the Key Account team.
n
Then you go find the next one.
n
What could that look like?
n
One week, you could be developing a new Australian customer. The next, you're building a relationship with a distributor in Asia, attending an industry event interstate or exploring an entirely new application for AGRANA's pouch platform.
n
There's scope across dairy, beverages, desserts, nutrition, bakery and broader food manufacturing. But you won't be limited to what the business is already doing.
n
A big part of your remit is asking: where else could we take this?
n
East and Southeast Asia are a particular focus, with opportunities to develop export markets,
build international distributor and customer relationships and identify new routes to market.
n
Expect several interstate trips each month, along with international travel as those markets develop.
n
Autonomy, with a global business behind you.
n
You won't be measured by where you're sitting.
n
Design your calendar around the opportunities in front of you. Be at Central Mangrove when you need to be, work from home when it makes sense, and get on a plane when the opportunity takes you interstate or overseas.
n
You'll have room to run with an opportunity, but you won't have to commercialise it alone.
n
You'll work across Commercial, Product Development, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance, bringing the right people together to turn an idea into something commercially viable.
n
And you'll be doing it within AGRANA, a global food business with approximately 9,000 employees across 55 production sites, 25 countries and five continents.
n
Locally, AGRANA Fruit Australia has around 160 employees at its Central Mangrove site, with a culture built around ownership, collaboration and giving people the responsibility to make things happen.
n
Food, FMCG or food ingredients experience will give you a head start, as will exposure to distributors, export markets or international customers.
n
But more than anything, we're looking for someone who genuinely likes the hunt.
n
Someone who would rather create the opportunity than inherit it.
n
For that person, there's a lot to build here.
