Calibre Steel is seeking a reliable and hardworking Steel Warehouse Storeperson to join our team on a full-time basis.
n

About The Role
n
You will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking and preparing steel products for customer deliveries, while ensuring all materials are handled safely, accurately and efficiently.
n
The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm. Once you are fully trained and able to work independently, these hours may transition to 8:00am to 4:00pm, subject to operational requirements.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Receiving and checking incoming steel products and materials
n
Picking and preparing steel orders for customer deliveries
n
Loading and unloading trucks using forklifts and overhead cranes
n
Correctly identifying, measuring and handling a range of steel products
n
Ensuring orders are accurate and ready for dispatch
n
Assisting drivers with loading and securing loads where required
n
Conducting stock checks and assisting with inventory control
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse and yard
n
Following all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies
n
Working effectively as part of a team to meet daily dispatch requirements
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
n
n
Previous experience in a warehouse, steel, transport, logistics or similar industrial environment
n
Previous forklift experience and/or a relevant forklift licence
n
Previous overhead crane experience
n
A strong understanding of workplace health and safety
n
The ability to safely handle and move heavy materials
n
Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
n
Strong communication and teamwork skills
n
A reliable work ethic and positive attitude
n
The ability to work outdoors in a busy warehouse and yard environment
n
The physical fitness required to perform manual handling duties
n
The ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
n
A commitment to working safely and maintaining a high standard of housekeeping
n
Experience handling steel or other heavy industrial products
n
Knowledge of steel products, sizes and measurements
n
Previous experience in transport, logistics or dispatch
n
