THE ROLE
n
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in the leadership and performance of a high-volume retail outlet at Homebush DFO. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys being visible on the shop floor, developing people and taking ownership of the day-to-day performance of a busy store. You will play an important role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while supporting commercial performance, team engagement and operational standards.

Day-to-Day
n
n
Partner with the Store Manager to drive store sales, profitability and overall performance.
n
Lead, coach and develop a diverse retail team, helping individuals reach their potential and preparing high performers for future opportunities.
n
Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management and succession planning across the team.
n
Create an engaging customer environment through consistently high standards of service and leadership.
n
Monitor store standards, operational procedures and loss prevention practices.
n
Work closely with the team to maximise commercial opportunities, including promotional activity and key trading periods.
n
Maintain strong visual and merchandise presentation standards across the store.
n
Oversee daily stock activity, replenishment,
transfers and floor changes.
n
Use commercial awareness and customer feedback to identify opportunities to improve sales and performance.
n
Act as a positive role model for professionalism, presentation, teamwork and customer service.
n

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
n
n
Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail management or supervisory leadership position.
n
Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team of 10+ people.
n
Previous experience in a high-volume, quick-paced or outlet retail environment is highly desirable.
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build genuine relationships with customers and team members.
n
A commercially minded approach with an understanding of sales, performance and operational standards.
n
Confident coaching and developing people, with a genuine interest in helping others succeed.
n
Highly motivated, accountable and comfortable working in a hands-on retail environment.
n
Strong attention to detail and pride in personal presentation.
n
A collaborative team player who can also take ownership and make decisions independently.
n
A genuine passion for premium customer service and representing a high-profile international retail business.

SALARY

$74,000 + Super + Commissions
