About The Role
n
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join a Canberra-based team supporting critical government systems.
n
You will be responsible for the administration, performance, availability and support of Oracle database environments, with Oracle Middleware experience highly desirable. Oracle/WebLogic and Fusion Middleware environments commonly operate closely with Oracle databases, making this combined skillset particularly valuable.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Administer and support Oracle database environments.
n
Perform database monitoring, tuning, maintenance and troubleshooting.
n
Manage backup, recovery, patching and upgrades.
n
Support high availability and disaster recovery activities.
n
Diagnose and resolve database and application issues.
n
Work closely with application,



infrastructure and development teams.
n
Support Oracle
Middleware/WebLogic
environments and integrations.
n
Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
n
n
Key Skills & Experience
n
n
Strong commercial experience as an Oracle DBA.
n
Hands-on Oracle database administration and performance tuning.
n
Experience with backup/recovery, RMAN and Data Guard.
n
Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
n
Oracle Middleware / WebLogic experience highly desirable.
n
Experience supporting enterprise or government environments.
n
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
n
Current NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory (NV2 is a Bonus)
n
This is a strong prospect for an Oracle DBA with
Middleware/WebLogic
experience looking for a Canberra-based
n
Federal Government contract through to March ****.
