We're seeking an experienced cloud or platform executive to oversee a multi-cloud engineering capability spanning Azure, AWS and hybrid environments. This role combines strategic oversight, capability development, client engagement and commercial accountability, with a strong focus on modern engineering practices, automation and AI-enabled ways of working.

The Opportunity
n
You'll be responsible for the cloud engineering function, helping define platform strategy, strengthen engineering capability and support the delivery of secure, scalable and resilient cloud platforms.
n
Key areas of focus include:

Cloud platform strategy across Azure, AWS and hybrid environments
n
Platform engineering, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code
n
Reliability, observability and operational resilience
n
FinOps and cloud cost optimisation
n
AI-enabled engineering practices and productivity improvement
n
Capability development, workforce planning and career growth
n
Executive stakeholder engagement and trusted client relationships
n
Practice performance, scalability and continuous improvement
n

About You
n




You may currently be working as a:

General Manager, Cloud Engineering
n
Head of Cloud
n
Head of Platform Engineering
n
Director of Cloud Platforms
n
Director of Infrastructure & Operations
n
Director of Platform Engineering or Reliability Engineering
n
n
You'll bring:
n
n
Experience overseeing cloud, platform or infrastructure engineering functions
n
Deep expertise across Azure and/or AWS environments
n
Strong understanding of DevOps, automation, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code
n
A proven history of developing high-performing technical teams and capability frameworks
n
Robust commercial judgement and stakeholder engagement skills
n
Experience influencing strategy while maintaining a focus on customer and business outcomes
n
n
Experience within digital, SaaS, enterprise technology, consulting or managed services environments will be highly regarded. Exposure to regulated industries such as Financial Services, Banking, Superannuation or Insurance is advantageous.
