Waratah-Wynyard Council have an exciting opportunity available for an Arboriculturist to support our growing municipality.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining high-quality public spaces and has the skills and experience to guide and support others.
Working closely with the Parks & Reserves Supervisor, you will provide day-to-day leadership to the team while remaining actively involved in the maintenance, construction and improvement of Council's parks, reserves, recreational facilities, vegetation and tree assets.
The annual Salary for this role will be $79,555 per annum
To be successful in this role you will have:
A relevant Trade qualification or Certificate IV in Arboriculture, and at least 2 years' relevant industry experience.
Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to positively guide and support a team.
Experience operating and handling small plant and equipment.
Strong time management, planning and organisational skills.

Statements addressing Essential Selection Criteria:
1. Relevant Trade or Cert IV in Arboriculture, Horticulture or related discipline or unqualified employees with 10+ years' experience in a related discipline.

3. Solid of plant species, maintenance practices used in parks, reserves and cemeteries, and understanding of recreation facility maintenance.

6. Well-developed time management and daily planning skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
