As a result of organic growth and expansion, they are actively seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join their growing team on a permanent full-time basis. The role will be based in their Carole Park, Queensland facility.

The Position...
n
The Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for the maintenance of all plant's machinery, tools and equipment from emergency breakdowns to preventative maintenance function and programs . Reporting to the Production Manager, this role will leverage your past supervisory experience, knowledge and understanding of industrial machinery and equipment.
n
This is not a "sit in the office and supervise from afar" role. They're looking for someone who is hands‐on, can roll up their sleeves and lead from the front in all maintenance‐related matters.
n
Principal Duties and Responsibilities of the role include:
n
n
Day-to-day maintenance of plant machinery, tools and equipment.
n
Emergency breakdowns and trouble shooting.
n
Assist in general facility maintenance and shutdown/project work.
n
Training & Coaching employees about preventative maintenance, as required.
n
Perform
regular/preventative
maintenance on all machinery, tools and facility infrastructure.
n
Identify, research, and resolve problems.
n
Develop, implement, and supervise the facility's Preventive Maintenance program with production staff.
n
Repair machinery, equipment, facility infrastructure, and other Company assets in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, manufacturing specifications, or by management request.
n
Work in association with contractors and other trade professionals where required.
n
Ordering of supplies and parts as required, at competitive pricing and rates.
n
Maintaining records of repair/maintenance activities.
n
Preparing necessary reports, adhering to safety protocols, and fulfilling additional duties as needed.
n

The Ideal Candidate...
n
To be considered for the role you will possess the following skills and experience:
n
n
Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Maintenance fitter/machinist; or Fixed or Mobile Plant Mechanic) is highly desirable.
n
Have the ability to handle responsibility and be accountable for actions/decisions.
n
Able to identify and implement secure working conditions.
n
Skilled in task organisation, deadline management, and maintaining composure when working under pressure.
n
Ability to understand basic math and numbers, and use a computer, calculator and telephone.
n
Have the capability to read and interpret drawings.
n
Proficiency in preventative and reactive maintenance.
n
Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to read and write basic English.
n
Ability to multitask, good attention to detail & strong problem‐solving skills.
n
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision when required, as well as having the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
n
Goal‐oriented, punctual, and dedicated to improving plant machinery, tools and equipment.
n
Eligibility to work in Australia with full working rights.
